Get Your NVC Documents Right the First Time

Upload the civil and supporting documents your NVC case calls for — typically the passport bio page, your DS-260 confirmation, birth certificates, marriage or divorce certificates, police certificates, and financial or sponsorship evidence. You can add several files per category and organize them by applicant. Exactly what's required depends on your visa category and consulate — and the review will flag anything that looks missing.

We accept PDF files (recommended) and JPEG / PNG images, up to 10 MB each. Microsoft Word documents aren't accepted — open them in Word and use File → Save As → PDF first. For photos, make sure the document is clear, well-lit and fully in frame.

Yes — a single case covers your whole family: the principal applicant, a spouse, and up to 9 children (as many as 11 people in one case). You add each person during case setup, and the upload screen is organized per applicant so every document goes to the right file. One review run covers everyone on the case.

A Metadata Review typically completes in about 30–60 seconds. A full Document Audit, which reads the actual content of each file, usually takes a couple of minutes depending on the number of documents and pages. You'll see a live progress indicator while it runs, and you don't have to wait on the page.

Yes. After uploading corrected documents you can regenerate the report from your case page. Your plan includes multiple reviews per case (the Agency plan is unlimited), and re-running with unchanged documents won't use up an included review — so it's safe to iterate. If you ever go beyond the reviews included with your plan, you can purchase additional ones.

When your review is ready you can download it as a PDF, email it (the PDF is attached automatically), or share it via WhatsApp. You can also generate a private share link that stays active for 7 days — handy for sending the report to a relative, sponsor or attorney without giving them access to your account.

Only you. Your documents are tied to your account and stored on private servers that aren't publicly reachable, under randomized file names — they're served only to you after an ownership check and are never exposed by a public link. Data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS, and your files are processed solely to generate your review; we never share or sell them. You can delete a case and all of its files at any time, and when a case's access window ends its documents are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.

No. NVC File Check is a document-preparation tool, not legal advice. We help you spot technical issues and missing documents — the kind of clerical errors that cause NVC to return packages.
